Pazhayangadi Mosque

Pazhayangadi Mosque, Kondotti, is located 18 km east of Manjeri, on the way to Malappuram in Kerala. The three-day-long Valia Nercha feast at this 500-year-old Muslim pilgrim centre, celebrated in February/March, is a local cultural event. This mosque with its lovely white dome is unique as it embodies facets of Mughal architecture.

Padinharekara Beach

Padinharekara Beach or Padinjarekara Beach is one of the most scenic places to visit in Malappuram for a serene experience. Ponnani Juma Masjid (Makkah of Kerala Muslims)

Ponnani Juma Masjid is located in Malappuram district, Kerala. Ponnani is nicknamed as the ‘Makkah of Kerala Muslims’. This mosque dates back to year 1510 and is constructed in the customary Kerala architecture. It was constructed by Zainudhin makhdum who was a Muslim religious leader. The architect of this mosque was a Hindu artisan who was a close friend of Makhdum and was renowned as Ashaari. Subsequently he was converted to Islam and came to be known as Ashaari Thangal. The grave of Makhdum as well as the Ashari lies in this place. This mosque was a center of Islamic education for the Muslims in Kerala. This mosque was one time a center of Islamic learning for the Muslim community in Kerala. As per the notes of William Logan, (a historian) - in Malabar Manual, Juma Masjid was constructed in 925 Hijrah.

Paloor Kotta Waterfall

Paloor Kotta Falls is a waterfall in Kadungapuram village of Malappuram district in Kerala, India. It is situated 7 kilometres away from Angadipuram and 10 kilometres away from Perinthalmanna town. It originates from a pond-like water source and empties into a small canal. Tipu Sultan had once sought asylum here.
